AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

I had a busted radiator and a couple of other maintenance issues to deal with and my usual place was asking way too much for everything. I called and James told me to get my vehicle there and he would take care of me. Much more reasonable priced and felt taken care of. And you get to meet the cutest pup ever when you drop off/pick up your vehicle. I am switching over to AAMCO for my next oil change and maintenance. Thanks James!

I recently had my transmission repaired at AAMCO and they did an outstanding job. From the initial diagnosis to the final test drive, the team was professional, honest, and extremely skilled. My vehicle is now shifting perfectly and running smoother than it has in years. The work was done efficiently, the pricing was fair and transparent, and the customer service was top-notch. If you need transmission work (or any auto repair), I highly recommend AAMCO. They truly stand behind their reputation. Thank you!

This was a few years ago and I’m just no longer able to hold this in. This is the worst I have ever been screwed by a company in my life. Keep this in mind, as you read this, they are never wrong and it is never their fault. Here is my story. 1998 corvette, was leaking tranny fluid at the pump. This transmission is in the rear of the car, so the entire transaxle and cradle have to be dropped. When I picked up the car it had a bad vibration, even in neutral, when revved over 2000 rpm. They said it must have already had this problem and there is no way what they did could have caused this. Tranny still leaking fluid and there is a very loud squeak from the rear. Brought it back 6 to 8 times trying to get them to look at these problems, but all they would do is change the gasket on the pan. Basically just wearing me down. The manager would get loud and scary every time the talk turned to it was their fault. I took it to A+ Transmission Specialist to get a second opinion. They dropped the tranny with the cradle and found that the input shaft from the driveshaft to the engine was bent. This was causing the vibration at 2000 and up. Because in a rear transmission car, the

Thank you to the owner and manager for working with us as seniors. We were traveling thru Austin and had brake issues and selected Aamco on Stassney because it was close to where we were staying, and because Aamco is nationwide and the warranty on the work we had done will allow us to get repairs done in our home area if there are any issues. James took us right in and the work was done quickly. We even got a free ride from Aamco back to the hotel where we were staying while we were waiting for the work to be completed.

Got car towed on a Sunday while in Michigan forgot to call when store opened called around 1 apologized about the vehicle not having its keys and instead i get threatened to get my car impounded if they aren’t brought immediately. and was told he spent 2 hours of labor for not having the keys. He also “flagged” me so i can’t get service from them all because i decided to get my car towed elsewhere after the rude uncounted i had.
